For the New York Islanders, Brock Nelson had two goals, and Leo Komarov contributed one goal and one assist in an 8-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. Noah Dobson chipped in one goal for the Islanders.

The Philadelphia Flyers will have their work cut out when they visit the Western Conference-leading St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night.

The Flyers, however, are coming off a huge win over the Boston Bruins on Monday night.

Travis Sanheim had two goals and Sean Couturier contributed one goal and two assists in a 6-5 shootout win over the Bruins. Goaltender Carter Hart made 31 saves.

The Blues will look to extend a 10-game home winning streak.

Philadelphia, on the other hand, is 9-13-2 on the road this season.

The Flyers are 2-4-1 in their last seven games, but they will look to build momentum off their big win against the Bruins, in which they rallied from three goals behind to pull out the win.

The Blues beat the Flyers 3-0 in Philadelphia and then won 7-3 in St. Louis.
