Edmonton Oilers vs Seattle Kraken Prediction

Tonight the Seattle Kraken will host the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers opened at -120 and moved up to -130 quickly. The Oilers have won their last three games and if you want to go back further, they've won five of six. This team is clicking on all cylinders and clearly, you want to ride a hot team.

There are plenty of reasons to back the Oilers but one of the main statistics that stands out is that the Edmonton Oilers lead the league with a power play effeciency 35.9 percent. While this has dropped from their absurd 50 percent at the beginning of the season it's still the best in the league. The top line of Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Zach Hyman is just unstoppable with the man advantage.

The Seattle Kraken have recently improved their quality of play and cleaned up some issues in the net. Jordan Eberle and Jaden Schwartz have been a big reason for this, as they have increased the offensive production. Kraken now has to face this dominant Oilers team with both out on the IR (also Chris Driedger is out and a few other guys are potentially out tonight). They are the key pieces that have made the Kraken look like a potential playoff contender. I don’t think the Kraken are deep enough to compete with a healthy Oilers team.

Some numbers: The Oilers have won their last 7 versus the Pacific and are 13-3 in their last 16 against the West. On the flip side, Seattle is 0-5 last 5 vs the Pacific and 0-7 in the Western Conference. They played earlier and Edmonton won 5-2 so why not keep that score and see if the top two scorers in the league can deliver again. (Draisaitl had two goals and two assists in the first game)

This price to back the Oilers is great and will only go up so let's get the Oilers now because they should run away with this one. Oilers win 4-2
