Boston Bruins vs. Minnesota Wild Prediction

I am back with an NHL play tonight, coming off a good win last night by the Pittsburgh Penguins. The NHL slate tonight is pretty filled up, and we will be looking into one particular game for this slate. The play I am looking at will concern a battle between the Minnesota Wild and the Boston Bruins.

The Wild enter play with an overall record of 19-10-2, good for fourth in the Central Division. The Wild have had a solid season to this point, looking like they have the potential to make a post-season push. Kirill Kaprizov has been the team leader so far this season, putting up huge numbers. The twenty-four-year-old winger has scored thirteen goals while landing twenty-six helpers in the process. He has been a huge spark to the Wild offense and is a reason they are nine games above the .500 mark.

The Bruins enter play tonight, working on a record of 17-10-2 with 36 points which is good for fourth in the Atlantic Conference. The Bruins have a lot of ground to make up in their division as they are currently thirteen points behind a first-place spot. The Bruins seem to be finding their rhythm once again in the new year as they have started hot playing to the tune of a 3-0 record in 2022 so far. This is a good Bruins team with high expectations entering the season, so to be in fourth place in their division and fighting for a playoff spot currently is not how they wanted to start their season. They will look to stay hot on home ice tonight against the Wild.

The play I am turning to tonight is to back the home team in the Boston Bruins. I love what the Boston Bruins are doing the last week or so as they have finally looked like the team we expected to see all season long. I believe this is going to be a great stretch to ride the Boston Bruins, especially on home ice tonight, facing a Minnesota Wild team who is missing a couple of key players as well. Jordan Greenway will be missing from the Wild lineup as he is one of the most important players for this team.

The injury that I believe will really hurt them is the starting goalie Cam Talbot being out with an injury. Talbot has been good this season for the Wild, with fifteen of their nineteen wins coming from Talbot. This will open up things a little bit more for the Bruins tonight on the offensive side of things and give them some more scoring opportunities. I believe these two players out, in particular, will make a noticeable difference in this game tonight.

Brad Marchand has been playing great hockey as of late, to no surprise, and he will look to continue his ways tonight against this Wild team. I think the Bruins match up very well here tonight with the Wild across the board. The juice is a little bit more than I typically play, but I am willing to lay it tonight on the Bruins.
