Toronto Maple Leafs vs Colorado Avalanche Predictions: Expect an Avalanche of Shots

Maple Leafs vs Avalanche odds

Jack Campbell is having a stellar season for the Toronto Maple Leafs. To date, he is 17-5-2 with a 1.87 goals against average, a .939 save percentage, and four shutouts.  In my opinion, he is the lead candidate for the Vezina trophy.  He covers up many defensive deficiencies the Leafs have as he leads the NHL with 19.2 goals saved above expected.  The Maple Leafs give up 33.9 shots on goal on the road, which is eighth-most in the league.  Jack has hit this mark in 6 of 8 road starts where he averages 35.3 saves per start.

Tonight’s opponent is the Colorado Avalanche, who are one of the best offensive teams in the league.  At home, they average 34.5 shots per game, but over their last 10 games overall they are averaging 36.1 shots per game.  I can see Jack getting to the 30 save mark tonight.
