After taking last week easy on the ice, I am back with my NHL play of the night. We started the season doing well on the ice, and I will look to continue that narrative tonight. We have a decent-sized slate tonight, but one game really stuck out and caught my attention. We will have a battle between the Los Angeles Kings and the New York Rangers tonight from the world's most famous arena Madison Square Garden.

New York Rangers vs. Los Angeles Kings Prediction

The Kings have been able to surprise many people this season, playing to an overall record of 21-16-5 on the campaign. The Kings have been led by veteran centermen Anze Kopitar who has led them this year with thirteen while also dishing out twenty-three assists. Their leading goal scorer has been twenty-five-year-old winger Adrian Kempe, who has seventeen goals so far this year. The goaltender play for the Kings has been solid all year as they are currently allowing 2.64 goals per game. They will look to continue their solid season on the road tonight against the Rangers.

The Rangers enter play tonight feeling great about their season so far, sporting a record of 27-11-4, which is good for first place in the Metropolitan division. The Ranger have been led by defensemen Adam Fox this year in terms of points as he sits second in all of the NHL in assist with thirty-eight on the year. He has also scored seven goals. I am trusting the much better team tonight in the New York Rangers. I love the way they have been playing this season and facing an offense in the Kings that is not all that explosive. I believe this game favors the Rangers greatly. The fact that we can get them at a really good price on the -1 line at home makes me love this play. I think worst-case scenario, we push this play, and if you want to drink some juice and take the moneyline, be my guest.

I think the Kings have overperformed a bit to this stage in the season, and we could see a bit of a decline for them as they enter a long eastern road trip. The Rangers will get it done tonight at the -1 line. If you are feeling dangerous, I think there is great value in sprinkling the Rangers -2.5 at +270. They hold a pretty significant advantage across the board tonight, so this could get ugly, and with late-game chances like the empty net, this is great value.
