Wild vs. Red Wings Total Movement

Minnesota Wild vs. Detroit Red Wings Prediction

The Wild are a scorching hot 10-2 across their last twelve tilts and have been relentless on the scoreboard on numerous occasions, especially in their own barn. Minnesota is putting up nearly 36 SOG at home per contest this season and averaging 4.42 GF/G, second-best in the league. That is dominance offensively and makes them a wonderful matchup here tonight against the Red Wings.

Detroit is conceding an average of 3.77 goals per game on road this season; they give up around 33.5 SA/G and hold the 9th worst road PK in the league. I am not completely dogging Detroit; they have played rather good hockey as of late and have grinded out some wins, but they still concede a lot of goals.

The Wild should be knocking on the door early and Detroit will have to match pace if they want to win. I expect them to show up and answer the call, that is why I still like the over here as well. I can see two, maybe three from Detroit based purely on the opportunities that will arise in this game; I just don’t think their horses are going to win this race when it is all said and done.

Now we are playing our totals below but the moneyline at -240 is way too juicy for anyone’s liking so we generate some value by looking at another solid spot on the slate. I will keep my read short on it. This is the first meeting between the Kraken and the Maple Leafs and I expect Toronto to dominate.

They are one of the best teams in the league with phenomenal offensive prowess and a great all-around game, including the safety of netminder Jack Campbell. The Kraken have won two of their last three, however, they are still pretty terrible defensively and I expect to see regression from them here tonight as a highly motivated Toronto squad looks to give them a proper welcome to the league. My man @TonesTakes has already posted a great article on this game that you should check out for more insight on this one!
