I am returning to the ice tonight for a late-night battle against the Chicago Blackhawks and the Winnipeg Jets. The Blackhawks come into this one sitting on the outside of the postseason. After a dominant run during the 2010s, the Blackhawks have been struck back to reality the last few seasons. This year they currently are holding onto a record of 17-24-1, Which is good for second to last in their division.

The bright spot for this team this year has been the same guy who has been the bright spot the last few seasons in the form of Patrick Kane. Kane leads the team in points this season and will look to be a factor here tonight. The issue for the Blackhawks has been on the defensive side of things. They come into this one allowing opponents 3.35 goals per game. Marc Andre Fleury came over to Chicago with hopes for the playoffs, but this has been a nightmare season for him so far.

The Jets, on the flip side of things, come into this playing to the tune of a 20-17-8 record. Twenty-five-year-old winger Kyle Connor has been the leader of the team this year, scoring twenty-six goals while picking up twenty-four assists. He has been the guy to watch for the Jets and will look to have a big night against this Blackhawks team who has struggled this year. 

I will be backing the Jets tonight at the -1 line. The money line here is a bit juicy for me but if you don’t mind drinking on some juice, be my guest. I see a push as l our worst option in this game tonight. I am simply not overcomplicating things as the Jets on home ice with this offense should dominate this game. The Jets are in a spot where the post-season is an option, but they need to win these types of games facing bad teams. This kind of game tonight at home they should be well prepared and fired up for. I think that the Jets offense led by Connor will be able to make things happen tonight and run up this score. The value at -1 is good for me in this spot.
