NHL Best Bets For Thursday: Ride These Picks and 2-Leg Parlay to Profit

I’m sticking with my guns here and attacking another total I love but there’s a sweet little parlay at the end of the road as well. I am writing this one here in the afternoon and the lines have continued to move across multiple sites so I’ll keep this one short. I got this one at o5.5 -130 last night on an alt line as it opened and it was o6 by the afternoon.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Columbus Blue Jackets Prediction

Columbus and Chicago both possess talent and can do things offensively at times, that is why I am expecting goals in a rather advantageous spot for both teams attacking games. They are both just terrible when it comes to defense.

Chicago is giving up 3.3 GPG at home yet the Blue Jackets pull the high card here with a gorgeous 3.83 GA/G average on the road. Most of those home starts for Chicago come under veteran netminder Marc-Andre Fleury who has done some truly magnificent things to keep them in games and earn them some points. He is not in net tonight.

Twenty-two-year-old net minder Arvid Soderblom is and that is why this line has jumped. He has played in two NHL games and is sporting a 4.23 GAA, yikes. Chicago is playing at home so I expect some jump from them despite their poor numbers at home; this is a game they can get back on track in if they do the right things. 

Columbus is a league-leading team in both scoring and conceding goals early and I expect a lot of pace between two middle-of-the-pack clubs during a toss-up game; the goaltenders should do the rest. 

I am attacking this one in a few different ways. The line on this game makes o5.5 now juicy but that is fine, I still am playing o6 myself as well. Since I was not able to back the blues on the money line due to juice today and the over line has moved as well: we parlay them.
