St. Louis Blues vs. Montreal Canadiens Prediction: Look for St. Louis To Stay Dominant on Road Trip
Tonight, we are once again riding our horse, the St. Louis Blues, as their visits with our neighbors up north continue tonight in their clash with the Montreal Canadians. The Blues have cashed three of four for us so far and this is looking like another excellent spot for them to do so again.

St. Louis Blues vs. Montreal Canadiens Prediction
I no longer believe there is a goalie controversy in St. Louis. Villie Husso is the #1 netminder. I have spoken about this in previous articles, so I will not drag on it for too long. Husso is in form and currently sporting league-leading numbers in numerous categories, including a 1.85 GAA.
It was not official, but it was assumed that he had taken the role. Tonight is the night, in my opinion. Blues writer Jim Thomas sent out a tweet this morning letting us know Husso was the first one off the ice for what was assumed to be a spot for Binnington.
The Blues are aware that it is time for them to get down to business if they have serious Stanley Cup aspirations this season. After dropping an easy two points in a disappointing home loss to New Jersey they have snapped back with a 5-1 home victory over Chicago and a 5-2 win in Ottawa to start their road trip.
St. Louis is playing excellent hockey at the moment and this matchup is the most advantageous of the three games by a landslide.
The Habs are an abysmal 8-33-7 on the season and are sporting a league leading 3.83 GAA in their own barn. They are getting killed early and are doing their netminders no favors; that does not mean that they however are also not part of the problem. Samuel Montembeult takes the net for Montreal tonight; he is 2-10-4 with a 3.92 GAA and .894 SV%.
The Blues money line is far too juiced for me on this one however it is an excellent parlay piece and I plan on doing so. With that said, there are still plenty of other ways to attack this game.
The Blues have cashed the last ten consecutive 1P o1.5’s and GIFT in seven of their last ten. Montreal is 8-2 L-10 GIFT and have left the first period trailing in 14 of their last 17 contests. I love the first period overs but I feel as though that last trend and St. Louis opens the scoring early and often in this one.
As always, best of luck to those who tail!
