The Wild come in representing a record of 31-14-3, which is good for sixty-five points and third in their division. On the flip side, the Leafs enter play 32-14-3, which equals sixty-eight points on the season, good for third in their division.

These two teams have had very similar seasons so far, and know that they have to close strong to lock up a playoff berth. The Maple Leafs have been led by their captain Auston Matthews, who has been great for them so far this season. However, the Leafs have been ice cold as of late, losing three consecutive games. In two of those games, they were heavily favored.

The Leafs will look to rebound tonight on their home ice against this very talented Minnesota Wild club. The star for this Wild club has been Russian-born winger Krill Kaprizov. Kaprizov has taken the league by storm with his speed and style of play. He has 23 goals this season to go along with 39 assists. His sixty-two points are good for sixth in the NHL, so if the Wild score, there is a good chance he was involved in the play. These are two of the better offenses in the NHL, so we can expect some goals to be scored in this game tonight. The Wild enter play averaging 3.79 goals per game while the Leafs are scoring 3.54 goals per game.

In this game tonight, the pick I am turning to is the Toronto Maple Leafs on the moneyline. It is a tad juicy, which I do not love, but I have this lien being closer to -200, so I want to take advantage of what I believe is a weak line for this game.

I love the fact that Toronto has lost three in a row, and now we get this price on them on their home ice. The Wild have been very good this season, but I think that the style of play Toronto plays matches up very well in this game. The Wild are a talented offense who will put up some numbers, but I think Toronto is fine playing that brand of hockey. This is a Leafs team who is still one of the best in the league and has a legit shot at winning the Stanley Cup this season. I expect that we hear from Auston Matthews in this game tonight, who has had an outstanding season so far for the Leafs. I do not believe that the Leafs lose four straight games, and I will be taking advantage of this bounce-back spot for them tonight!
