Well, the slate tonight is gorgeous and I have action all over so instead of just sticking to two game articles, I decided round two today would just be a short little write-up for y’all on some of my best bets around the league tonight.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. New Jersey Devils Prediction

This is the other over I am really sinking my teeth into this evening, and it should be a barnburner. New Jersey and Columbus are not only two of the best teams in the league to fade on an over (when they play good squads, they tend to concede an ungodly number of goals) but they have been doing truly great things offensively.
Columbus is netting 3.35 GF/G at home this season and is sporting a 3.42 GAA; New jersey is netting 3.04 GPG on the road this season but they scored 39 goals in nine contests last month; they have buried 23 in their last five. New Jersey has a 3.85 GAA on the road.
Neither of these squads possesses great defensive talent and the netminders are nothing to write home about; to win a game they usually must outscore their opponents and these two squads should be more than willing to do that tonight. The pace will be off the rails from the get-go and I could easily see two goals in the first period if not north of that number.
These are two of the best teams in the league when it comes to scoring early and if you tail me or have read my articles before you know this. I will just drop a few of these stats for reference if you missed those. Both squads have cashed 1P o1.5’s in north of 65 percent of their contests this season and rank within the top five teams in the league for the category. CBJ is the third-best GIFT team in the league cashing in 36/53 this season and New Jersey leads the league cashing in over 71 percent of their games this season; they are also something around the lines of 22 of their last 25.

This one really does not take too much to understand; The Carolina Hurricanes are undisputedly the best team in hockey and are in truly excellent form. They are one of probably the most well-rounded teams in the league and possess incredible talent on all tiers. They impose their will and should do so tonight. Detroit is not one of the worst squads in the league but is nowhere near the best and simply just doesn't match up with this squad whatsoever. Carolina can win this game in a variety of ways, and I see them getting the job done here tonight.
