Monday's NHL Best Bets Around The League
Other than the Toronto at Columbus game I like a few other spots around the league so going back to the well with the best bets around the league piece. There are a few games I want to tap in on so no further prologue from me here, let's dive in.
Florida Panthers vs Buffalo Sabres

Both these squads fall well within the realm of what we could call “over teams” and the spot lines up great here tonight. Buffalo is conceding 3.46 GPG at home this season while Florida is giving 3.00 on the dot while outside their own barn. Florida is the most potent offensive team in the league and has a tendency to run up the scoreboard when given the opportunity however they give up plenty as well. the last meeting between these two squads was a 7-4 victory for Florida at home earlier in the season.
I think Buffalo will show up a bit and play like the squad that just dominated Toronto last week and with backup netminder Spencer Knight in net for Florida, they should be good for a few goals here in this one. Despite some decent numbers this season he is still the backup netminder for a reason and has not started a game since February 1st.
The Panthers are relentless whether they are up to three or down three; I do think Buffalo keeps up in this one and could even sneak away with a win here if things go their way but regardless of the angle, I look at it from I see goals. The first period o1.5 has hit in 38/55 Panthers games this season.
Florida Panthers vs Buffalo Sabres Pick
- 1P BTTS +135 (play down to +120) (Bet $100 to Win $135)
Florida/Buffalo Same-Game Parley
- 1st period o1.5/o5.5 -130 (Bet $130 to Win $100)
Edmonton Oilers vs Calgary Flames

This one should be exciting, and I can see a plethora of goals coming from either side, but I am going to attack something with crazy value in here. No team in the league has cashed their 1P TT o1.5 as many times as Calgary has this season. Conveniently, no squad has allowed other teams to cash this as much as Edmonton has.
Koskinen is playing great, but he gave up four to Chicago last time out and we may see him coming back to earth a bit here. In my opinion, there is not really a better spot to get after these two tickets and I like the value of them both. I shopped around a bit to find the 1P TT at such a good price but would totally be cool with just playing 1st period over as a parlay piece if you cannot find a 1P TT.
As always, best of luck to those who tail.
Vamos!
Edmonton Oilers vs Calgary Flames Picks
- Edmonton/Calgary 1P over 1.5 (-145) (play up to -155, anything higher is a parlay piece) (Bet $145 to Win $100)
- Home team 1st period over 1.5 (+322) (Bet $100 to Win $322)
- Calgary TT 03.5 -120 (play up to -135) (Bet $120 to Win $100)
