Alright, so this is one of the last games on the slate tonight and it is probably the one I am the most excited for.
I am rolling with my gut here guys and trusting what these teams have been doing lately -- why worry about anything other than what they have been showing us. Markstrom and Vasilevesky are undoubtedly two of the best netminders in the league -- they could both show out tonight easily, but I just don’t see it.

This could be a potential Stanley Cup preview (and encore from the 2004 series which was a seven game thriller) and I think the motivation completely lies with Calgary. They are red hot and that is still an understatement; the dominance that they have played with in the 2022 campaign so far has been exactly that.
Dominant.
Now, Tampa Bay is incredible and will do more than hold their own in this one, I assume, but I just believe Calgary will have the jump on them in this one from the get-go. Calgary has been dominant at home this season and dropped a lead late last time out to a Washington squad that is heating back up.

Calgary is back, I expect no fall off from them in the final third here whatsoever. They are netting 3.65 GF/G at home this season and have won something around 11 of their last 13 at home where they turn it up. No team has dropped 2+ on anyone else in the first period this season more than Calgary, and for a Tampa Bay squad that has been falling behind then roaring back as of late, I just see a slugfest here.
Edmonton and Calgary played each other much tighter earlier in the week than I expected in the first period, the same thing happened with Washington. The difference is after the first they busted it open in that Washington game and I think that happens here tonight; to be honest I don’t believe it will start late either.

This should be a pretty freely played game; yes, they will be hitting and hard on the forecheck, but as far as going end to end and space to maneuver, I see a lot of potential for it. Calgary loves to get after squads early and Tampa Bay has their number; they have taken the last five straight in the series.
If there is ever a game to get one back on them I expect that to be from them here tonight, but if we cash the total as well, I can assure you Tampa Bay will do their part.
