Devils vs. Rangers Over/Under Movement
Igor Shesterkin appears to have entered a bit of a cold phase, which is a stark contrast from the high-caliber goaltending he has exhibited since the beginning of the season. In his five most recent road starts, Shesterkin posts an uncharacteristic 4.00 GAA— including one game where New Jersey was able to score five goals off him in two periods.
Thanks to their mediocre offense, but the ever-changing share of issues in net, eight of New Jersey’s last ten games have gone over this total. In these last ten, NJ averaged 3.30 goals per game, but still allowed opponents an average of 5.00 goals. Devils’ rookie goalie, Nico Daws has also struggled as of late, accumulating a 3.90 GAA over his last ten starts. Daws made two appearances versus the Rangers this season, surrendering three and four goals against in his starts.
These teams have already faced each other three times this season, with the over cashing in two of three. While I expect the Rangers to avenge their previous loss to the Devils, I’d rather ride the over 6.

Flyers vs. Blue Jackets Over/Under Movement
It’s likely that we see Jean-Francois Berube get the start tonight considering the Blue Jackets played at home just last night. Berube has made four starts this season and allowed his opponents at least three goals in each. Therefore, it would be reasonable to assume that a Philadelphia Flyers team that has scored an average of 3.00 goals in their last ten games will be able to manage at least a couple of tallies on Berube.
Flyers’ netminder, Carter Hart, has allowed his opponents four or greater goals in six of his last seven games. Even though the Blue Jackets only scored an underwhelming 2.60 goals per game over their last ten games, Hart has the potential to be an easy target. Columbus should be used to having to compensate for their goaltenders with extra offense.
Flyers vs. Blue Jackets Pick
- Over 6 (-110) (Bet $110 to Win $100)
