Winnipeg Jets vs Philadelphia Flyers Prediction: Can the Jets Avoid a Philly Sweep?
It's the last week of the NHL regular season all the playoff teams are in, they are just fighting for positioning now. Tonight there are no games with two teams fighting each other so let's go to a team that is playing for pride.
We have the worst team in the Metropolitan division and the second-worst team in the Eastern Conference in the Flyers going on the road where they have only 11 wins on the year against a Winnipeg Jets team that is playing out the string but there is one big thing tonight that matters. That one thing is Winnipeg wants to be that team that gets swept by the Flyers as they lost 3-1 earlier in the year, and we believe that no one wants to be that team that says they were swept by the Flyers.

Winnipeg Jets vs Philadelphia Flyers Prediction
We mentioned the Flyers have 11 wins on the road all season well in their last 24 road games they have only four wins (4-18-2) which just shows this team blows and on the road, they blow even more. The Flyers lost their top goalie and their backup is hurt which means tonight their goalie is probably Martin Jones. This man is 12-17 and has given up 3.43 goals a game. Out of 32 teams, Philly is in the bottom 10 of every defensive category including giving up 3.6 goals a game and 34 shots a game. With already an awful defense and now a third-string goalie in, we don't expect the Flyers to do much in stopping the Jets tonight. An even crazier stat is since the Flyers beat the Jets in February they only have 10 wins. Enough said!
The Jets a few months ago were fighting for a playoff spot but this month a 3-6-1 stretch killed any hopes of that happening. Of course, now that they are out of it they beat the best NHL team in Colorado the other day and it was a 4-1 blowout. Either way, we have two teams playing for nothing but the numbers on Philly are awful and it's hard to pass up one more chance to go against them on the road, and the fact Winnipeg does not want to be that team that gets swept by the Flyers this game actually means something to them and with every game at home to the end season it would be nice to end the season on a winning streak. This would be the first time in a MONTH that they won back-to-back home games and I am sure the coaches have let the players know about this because it's embarrassing to not have won back-to-back at home for this long.
One man who is playing for something is Kyle Connor who got his 45th goal the most in franchise history since they moved to Winnipeg. He would love to get that 50-goal mark in the next three games and I am sure the players and coaches will try and help him get that as we recommend riding him scoring the next few games.
The bottom line is that you have a team that beat their rivals Pittsburgh a few days ago and we feel that might have been the highlight and the one shining moment for that team. The numbers are all bad that we can spew on Philly so no need to do it just know there is nothing good in this spot for them. The Jets are trying to avoid a sweep from this awful team and win two in a row at home which the coaches have been saying all week to the team. The Flyers have not won in Winnipeg in over six years, the home team in this series has won the last ten times and it is a home-dominated series.

Let's end the NHL season with a nice winner. Clearly, the juice is a little high (-190) but we don't see overtime or a shootout as combined in the last 20 games they have had only one overtime game that was the Jets losing at Colorado. We feel confident that Winnipeg wins this game and avoids the nasty sweep from the Flyers and wins in regulation. We will lay -125 three-way or regulation on Winnipeg to win this game as we are predicting a 5-3 final tonight. Lay the small number with the Jets and let's end the season with a big W from our Canadian friends.
