Los Angeles Kings vs. Edmonton Oilers Game 6 Prediction

The Oilers came into this series as a heavy favorite to win the series, but the Kings are the team with a chance to shut the door tonight and win the series. Edmonton is one of the most skilled teams in all of the NHL on the offensive side of the puck. They are led by the best player in the NHL in the form of Connor McDavid. Leon Dristale is also one of the most gifted goal scorers in the league.

The Kings came into the year not slated to be a playoff team, but they have proved the doubters wrong this season. The Kings have a nice mix of veteran players and some young guns. Anze Kopitar is one of those veteran players who have Stanley cup experience. The Kings will count on guys like Kopitar to close the series at home tonight. Veteran goalie Johnathan Quick has come up with some massive saves in this series against this high-powered Oilers team. This has been a fun series so far, including two overtime games, both of which were won by the Kings. This would be a huge series upset if the Oilers can knock off the Kings tonight. The Oilers are favored to win this one tonight. 

I am backing the Oilers in this game tonight. I understand this can be a scary play to some, but this series is going seven. The Kings have won two close games in overtime this series, and I have been impressed with them, but I still have faith that the Oilers can win this series. Connor McDavid and the Oiler's top line will need to step it up tonight, and I believe they will. I love betting on desperate teams that are the more talented teams, and that is the case tonight.

I think for the first time this entire series, the pressure is on the Kings. Some may disagree with that, but if the Kings lose this game, then they would have to go into Edmonton and win the game. I believe they know this is their shot tonight to do it at home, putting some pressure on them. I expect the Oilers to play loose and show off their skills tonight.
