Calgary Flames vs Dallas Stars Prediction

The Flames came into this series as heavy favorites to win, but the Dallas Stats have not made life easy on this high-powered Flames team. The Flames, who are led by Jersey native Johnny Gaudreau were one of the best offenses in all of the NHL during the regular season. They have been very inconsistent in this series in scoring the puck. The Flames will need their offense to pick things up here tonight in a do-or-die.

The Stars are a team that has a lot of veterans on it. One of those veterans is captain Jamie Benn. Benn has been solid in this series for the Stars and will look to show up and make an impact tonight. The Star's best player in this series perhaps has been winger Joe Pavelski. Pavelski spent a lot of his career in San Jose but has really stepped things up this series in Dallas. The Flames enter tonight’s game as a decent-sized favorite and will look to close the door on this pesky Dallas Stars team. 

I am backing the Flames on the -1 line. This game reminds me a lot of the Edmonton vs. Los Angeles game last night, where we cashed in on Oilers -1. The Flames are the much better team here, and they are due for an offensive explosion. They have actually had really good chances all series long. They just have not been able to finish a lot of these scoring opportunities. I think they get a few to fall tonight, and they continue to play an excellent defensive series. I am not going to overcomplicate this game tonight; I will just trust the better team who is on their home ice.
