Can the St. Louis Blues even the series tonight against the Colorado Avalanche? JT Miller breaks it down.
ANALYSIS

St Louis Blues vs. Colorado Avalanche Best Bet: Can the Blues Even the Series?

I stand by my reads, we’re 9-0 on playoff series’ so far with that strategy and have feasted this season so I’m not going to back off now. A lot of things changed about this series in Game 3, some dramatics and rather notable losses for both sides. Colorado is in control but St. Louis is still in the fight; you have to go get this one here tonight.

St Louis Blues vs. Colorado Avalanche Prediction

Samuel Girard’s season was ended after a brutal hit early in the game and then minutes later Kadri and Rosen ran into Jordan Binnington chasing a loose puck; he will be out for the rest of the series at a minimum.

Ville Husso was phenomenal for a good chunk of the regular season but after a poor showing against Minnesota, Jordan retook the starting role and had not given it back until the injury. The loss hurts, he has veteran playoff experience, knows Colorado much better, and handles the puck very well; he was in great form and saving shots but that comfortability and confidence moving the puck around in your own end means a lot.

You want to keep pace up when you can and resetting only allows them to as well; Ville will need to have a strong game and sling it around with more confidence than he did in game three.

With that said, game four is a must-win for St. Louis, no other way to put it. You already lost Binner but they are down Girard as well, you need to take game four on home ice and avoid heading back to Colorado down 3-1 at all costs.

Berube and the boys who have been here who have gotten the job done before know that; now you need to go out there and do a job. Say what you wish but that game was a 3-2 game late in the third despite losing their netminder and a blindly missed penalty call with six minutes left In the game. It sucks but all you can do is push forward, respond.

If the Blues have the magic in them this season it happens tonight; they are 21-8-2 for us in our last thirty backing them, I know this team is feeling it this season and can show out tonight if they do their jobs. You’re netminder is only as good as the guys in front of you, the forwards need to do more and just be relentless; be a menace in the zone, work your stick just don’t let them play their game and play yours.

Ville has had some time on ice now to settle in, see them, get ready for them. Avoid the big mistakes, convert on the opportunities you are given; that is how the guys win this game and I’m ready to see what they can do.
