The St Louis Blues travel to face the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night and will battle it out in the mile-high for game five of this series. The first two games here were split, and the Blues went back to St Louis doing their job. The Avs fell behind early 1-0 in game three, then an injury to their starting goaltender Jordan Binnington occurred. The injury shifted momentum in the game, and the Avs would score three straight goals. The Avs went on to win the game 5-2.
Game four was a similar script. The Blues jumped out to a 1-0 lead, and then the Avs went crazy and scored four quick goals. The Blues would again cut it to a one-goal game, but a late surge in the third was too much for the Blues to handle. We swept that game cashing the Avs -1 and Schenn over 1.5 shots which was an electric win.
The pick we are going to get into today will be another player prop. The Avs enter play as a heavy -250 favorite with a chance to close out this series. The Blues will do everything in their power to steal a road win and give themselves a chance to play another game on home ice for game six.
The prop we are taking is going to be Brandon Saad Over 1.5 shots. I absolutely love this play tonight as he has been on the Blue's top line and will get a lot of action on the power play. The Blue's power play has been great this postseason, and they have created a lot of chances in this series.
Saad has been extremely aggressive and getting set up often for good scoring chances. This is a play that I think we could cash in the first period. Saad has hit this prop in every single game in this series. I fully expect him to do so again tonight. Let’s keep things rolling!
