The Lightning and their fans are used to the Stanley cup finals by now, as they will be appearing in their third consecutive Stanley Cup if they can get past the Rangers in this series. Tampa has not been favored to win a series yet in the playoffs despite being the two-time defending champions, but now they are finally the favorites to win this series.

The Ranger's path here has been a tough one as they fell behind their rivals, the Pittsburgh Penguins, three games to one. They were able to storm back in that series, including multiple games where they were down 2-0. They then fell behind 2-0 to the Hurricanes and 3-2, but they were able to go win the series. The one thing you can not doubt is the mental toughness of this Ranger team.

The same can be said about Tampa Bay, as they have been thru it all. The Lighting are one of the more experienced teams in the NHL, and they do not crumble under the bright lights. This should be a great series starting tonight.

The Rangers give up a lot of shots, and Shesterkin is the best goalie in the NHL, so this is an easy bet for me to make tonight. The Lighting are the more rested team entering this game, so I expect them to come out with a ton of energy and get a lot of shots on goal throughout the night.
