Colorado Avalanche vs. Edmonton Oilers Game 2 Prediction

The star power and highly potent offensive units that both Edmonton and Colorado have this season combined for an incredible fourteen goals in game one, cashing in on the total before the 1/2 way point in the game. Sweat-free, easy money. I’ll tell you right now at this point in the article we are back on the total but the books are aware of the potential here just as much as we are so the lines are terrible. Same-game parlay season there.

As far as sides go I said I would be flip-flopping in this series and I will be. We won on Colorado in game one and I believe that they look excellent; they did everything they needed to and are capable of so it’s hard to think they don’t do it again here tonight. They can and should; with that said, they can only control what they can control.

Two of those uncontrollable’s are the effort, pace, and relentless type of play you can expect to see from Edmonton this evening and the fact that the Avalanche are now without their top netminder Darcy Kuempfer. Read that however you will; either that gives Edmonton an edge and Mike Smith is able to fend off the attack from Colorado or Colorado picks up play even more to support their backup netminder. Both are plausible but we’ve seen some real grit, determination, and drive from Edmonton this postseason. They have to take this one or game three to make it a series, the value lies in the total and with Edmonton tonight as they try to avoid staring a 2-0 deficit down the barrel.
