I said this series should go six or seven games and that’s how it is shaping out to be. They dropped game one but had won five straight playoff games as is and are 8-3 in the playoffs this year. New York has needed seven games both times to do the job. They played well on Wednesday and I’m sure they could win this game but I don’t see it happening with Tampa's mentality.Â
I’m not knocking New York or their performance whatsoever, they have been great this postseason and really battled, but so have the Bolts. They are both built to go deep and have the best netminders left in this thing on top of the star power. Both squads are going to dig deep in this series but game two should go to Tampa if they practice what they preach.
I forgot who said it specifically but the team shares an opinion that they have proven many times over this short dynasty they have created together; if you can avoid losing two games in a row, you’re going to have a really good opportunity to go win a Stanley Cup. I am riding with the better and more experienced team to bounce back here and split the road games to start the series. New York had the puck luck in game one and it should regress a bit today; Vasilevsky is insane after a loss. Ride with Tampa Bay.Â
