This is a must-win hockey game for the Edmonton Oilers and I promise you they will give this one everything they have. They did not come this far to roll over now. I was worried about their depth and capabilities to produce top to bottom but they have suppressed those doubts in the first two rounds.

The Oilers lost a dog fight in Game 1 then proceeded to play a great first period in game two just to piss it all away on poor effort, bad penalties, and a weak performance overall despite Mike Smith holding his own. You have to remember this is postseason Hockey, Serious Hockey. Even if there is a clear-cut better side that advantage goes away when you have to play a team 4-7 times and it is very hard to take the first three straight regardless of who you’re playing.
This Edmonton team is one of the best in the league, they are uber-talented and sport a highly potent attack that I just can’t believe will be silenced again here tonight. I am riding with the teams that NEED to win the hockey games they are playing the next two days, that’s postseason play.
People forget how close those STL/COL games were; they forget that New York trailed Pittsburgh 3-1 at one point in the series or that Tampa rolled through the Presidents Cup winners with ease. It is an easy ride with the apparent better side after jumping out to a two-game lead here.
Colorado is the cup favorite for a reason and I know they are an incredible hockey team. They are hard to beat every single night they play but they are beatable no doubt. This is a must-win game, Edmonton is the right side here and we are getting good value doing it. I obviously think there are goals here too but hate the total at seven so going to just somewhat tap in here and look to get anything else live.
Give me Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl & Co. to make this Western Conference final a real series with a win here on home ice tonight. Love any prop looks on either of them!
