Down 2-0 in the series already and down 2-0 in Game 3 we finally saw the experience, the leadership, and the two big boys on the Lightning get going with Kucherov and Stamkos scoring goals and then a golden ticket goal by Palat with under a minute left to avoid overtime where anything can happen.
The Lightning played their best game of the series getting off a playoff-high 52 shots against the best goalie we have seen this year in Shesterkin who gave up 2.21 goals this year and in the playoffs in the last two rounds has gotten back his mojo as he has given up three or less for the last two rounds in every game.
The coach said it best because he and we all knew it lose Game 3 and the Rangers are playing the Avalanche for the cup. "We had to stop the Rangers' roll," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "Hopefully, that goal with (42) seconds left put a little pin in their bubble."

The Lightning won two Stanley Cups in a row and are going for an unprecedented third in a row in the last three years, it's been a rare occurrence that they have been down going into a Game 4. It has actually only happened once in the last three postseasons and it was against Toronto when everyone thought their dynasty was over but they took it to Toronto winning easily 7-3 and then winning the series.Â
The Rangers coach knew it as well, so close yet now so far away: "Give them credit. They pushed us hard (in Game 3) and it was a desperate game for them," Gallant said. "They were the better team overall. It went right down to the wire, and we had a chance to win late in the hockey game. It's disappointing, but we'll move on and get ready for the next one."

"I don't like it," Gallant said. "Hopefully, when we talk to the supervisor (on Monday), they'll take care of some of that because it wasn't right."
Tampa is still missing a huge offensive piece in Brayden Point and with the complaints maybe they will change how these games are being played and it will only help our case for a lower scoring game tonight, taking away more five on four advantages. The Rangers are 8-2 under when on the road as a dog, and 4-1 under their last five road games. The Lightning are 7-1 under in their last eight games, and 5-1 in their last six off a victory.
This is pretty much an elimination game for Tampa going to NY down 3-1 is not a place they want to be and they should play their best defensive game of the series. With all that happened last game, it still went under because the goalies are as good as it gets and after stopping as many shots as Shesterkin did in Game 3 we feel both goalies will have fewer shots taken against them and tonight will be the lowest-scoring game of the series.
We are confident in taking under 5.5 -125 goals tonight in the Lightning/Rangers game on ESPN. These are the only two teams playing the rest of the week. Let's see a great game and watch the best two goalies go at it and prove themselves one more time in a game that will change the series and win us the under.
