Well, I feel a lot better going into Game 4 here after that stellar performance the other night by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Trust me I was confident, I wouldn’t have made the bets we did if I was not. I have ranted and raved about both teams all post season and as I have in all but one series this year, I am sticking with my horse and for good reason. The Bolts finally saw a swing in the momentum of the series in a dominant 6-2 victory on home ice in game three.
They broke Colorado’s undefeated record away from Ball Arena this postseason as we had hoped for and just simply took care of business. I don’t know how else to put it.

They cleaned up on penalties, although still need to be better, punished Colorado on all the high danger chances they had, and finally played to their advantages. I expected an all out effort and to see the Bolts play their best game there for us that evening and once they had their first lead of the series they never looked back.
Colorado is electric and should respond well today but you all now know (doubters especially) that Tampa Bay is more than capable of giving Colorado a taste of their own medicine. They are very sound top to bottom when they play good hockey, dangerous and have the edge between the pipes by a mile.
A netminder is only as good as the guys in front of him I say that constantly; with that said however, there still is more to it. Darcy looks good at times because of the work and pressure that the five guys in front of him relieve, they are good.

Andrei Vasilevskiy does not need nearly as much support to be good. You obviously cannot hang him out to dry against a lethal squad like the Avalanche and must stay out of the penalty box but other than that, he will do the rest. Andrei Vasilevsky is so much better than Darcy Keumpfer; we finally saw that in the last game.
Colorado has and will continue to get pucks on net in the masses, it’s unavoidable in my mind. After his worst outing of his career in game two, Vas held Colorado to two goals stopping 37/39; he is now 8-1 with a sub 1.75 GAA in the post season on home ice.
They earned the spot, they are back in the series and can once again do what they did in the last round and make this a three game series with a win tonight. You guys know the deal, I am riding with Tampa.
