Well, guys, I will keep this short and sweet here today as there is no real reason not to be.

We are now in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup final and we all have been watching the same series, we all know the situation. Game 3 was electric and set up a magnificent Game 4 in which Tampa Bay held the lead less than a period away from knotting up the series but they let Colorado tie it late.

The Avalanche dominated overtime and that goal that Kadri scored was downright filthy. Almost every way that Tampa Bay has held an edge or had the opportunity to beat Colorado they have squandered, but it is not all on them; we saw the game they can play in Game 3 but the response from the Avalanche was even more impressive. It reminded me of the St. Louis series, down late in the third and they just simply sucked the life out of their opponent.

Tampa would have been rejuvenated with new life in this series winning game four; losing it has put them six feet under and the Avalanche have the shovels in hand. This is playoff hockey and anything is possible, we know how talented and capable this Tampa team is we just saw them recover a 0-2 deficit with a four-game sweep of New York and a much better netminder last round.

They are the back-to-back champs, they won us a lot of money this postseason, and with a Game 3 victory and two overtime losses, they have had their opportunities to win this series -- that is unarguable. The problem now is I think that is exactly it, they HAD their chances. Find a way to win tonight and I’ll slam Tampa on home ice for Game 6 but you have to beat the Avs in Ball Arena first which is very hard to do.

They can also win the cup on home ice tonight which I can assure you with 15 wins in 18 playoff games to this point they are more than aware of what they can accomplish. They have a chance tonight to do it for themselves and their city right in front of their eyes; I’d love to see this series get more interesting and have another hockey game this year but I feel like Colorado sucked the life out of this team finally.

They have the lesser netminder and less experience but make up for all of that and then some with their talent, speed, and just straight-up motivation. They are starving to win and they are playing like bats out of hell; If Tampa Bay cannot keep pace the Avalanche might try to make this one ugly again.
