Well, I was waiting for the morning skate confirmation on who will be between the pipes for St. Louis tonight and after seeing that Jordan Binnington was first off the ice, I started typing.

Seattle Kraken vs. St. Louis Blues Prediction
I was backing St. Louis in this spot either way regardless of who was in net but I am much more comfortable hitting this wager a bit heavier with Binner than I would have been with Thomas Griess. Binner appeared to find form again in the back half of the season and looked amazing in the playoffs before the injury. We saw a calm and confident game from him in the season opener over the weekend and I expect a really strong campaign from him this year.
As far as everything else goes, St. Louis is just the better hockey team here plain and simple. They won all three meetings last season outscoring the Kraken by a total of 10-3 including a shutout and one-goal performance. Yes, the Blues are a tad bit better at home but they know how to take care of business when it is in front of them, and with the way the season has begun you have to believe they do so tonight. In the road trip to Seattle last season they walked away with a stress-free 5-0 victory.
They have played just once so far and although the season is young they are antsy at this point. Everyone else has played a few games already and are getting things going while the Blues will be playing just their second game tonight. That is good for us though, they are healthy and ready to go with a lot of energy right now.
I am excited for another year of Blues hockey and think they are in a prime spot to make us a lot of money again this season, let's ride.
