The second play I want us to get after this evening is a two-leg money line parlay I am digging between what I believe are two really solid spots here. Let's get into my NHL parlay pick for Monday featuring the Flames vs the Kings and the Blackhawks vs the Hurricanes.

NHL Parlay Picks for Monday
Calgary Flames vs Los Angeles Kings Prediction
This is not an easy matchup for Calgary by any means but Los Angeles has been a little too hot in my eyes over the last few weeks and I expect them to regress back toward the mean here soon. Don't get me wrong they have a solid top half of the league club right now but Johnathan Quick has flaws at this stage of his career and the Kings aren't going to win all these one-goal games they find themselves playing; they have four straight victories but those all came by just one goal.
On the other side of the equation is Calgary and I believe they are a team due for positive regression. They have not played like the powerhouse they were last year to this point in the season but they are much better than they have been playing, it's just like what I said about St. Louis. Jacob Markstrom has underperformed thus far on the season but he is much better than he has been playing and should regress back to a guy who looks much closer to the top ten netminders he was last season. Calgary returns Jonathan Huberdeau to the lineup tonight as well who is a major piece of that team and should help them get their pace and intensity back on track.
Chicago Blackhawks vs Carolina Hurricanes Prediction
This one takes less analysis in my eyes; the only reason this would be a great spot for Chicago would be if it was a scheduled thing or injury related, neither of which are there. Carolina has lost three of its last four but is one of the best teams in the league without question.
They have phenomenal depth both offensively and defensively. Third-string netminder Pytor Kochetkov should be between the pipes tonight and that is honestly a plus for me here. Koch had a phenomenal AHL season last year and in his first NHL start, last week held Edmonton who has one of the most potent offensive units in the league to just two goals. Petr Mrazek is less than impressive in my eyes and has not been great this year.
