Colorado Avalanche vs. Anaheim Ducks Prediction
Anaheim is the worst defensive team in the league with an abysmal 4.15 GAA average. The Ducks are the No. 1 ranked first-period over team in the league this season at 34-47 for a 72.34% clip. They give up goals early and often, and with the way Colorado has been playing, I like the Avalanche to jump on the Ducks early on home ice tonight. Colorado is still not entirely healthy, but are playing great hockey and riding a six-game winning streak into this contest. I like the Avalanche to keep taking care of business this evening against an inferior opponent and continue their winning ways.

Arizona Coyotes vs. St. Louis Blues Prediction
The last three times these squads met in Arizona, the total flew over by scores of 5-4, 5-4, and 7-4, all in favor of St. Louis. Tonight, I feel like there is an excellent chance that both of those trends will continue. With the over trend that St. Louis has been on and relatively poor defensive play overall on both sides, the lamp is often lit here. The over is a solid play, but I believe St. Louis carries the weight in this one as well.
Arizona's season is already over, and at this point, the organization should be playing for draft picks. The players are playing for contracts and aren't going to sell for a draft, but the organization will not make any moves to try to salvage the lost season. St. Louis, on the other hand, is just six points out of the wildcard spot with a lot of veterans, like Brayden Schenn, and young talent on the roster. This team is ready to win, as they have been the last few seasons despite a brutal campaign so far this season. The Blues are beginning a short road trip tonight against a team they have dominated over the last few seasons, I expect a strong effort from them as they look to get back on track before two challenging games with Winnipeg and Colorado.
