San Jose vs Pittsburgh Prediction

Tonight the San Jose Sharks return from a three-game road trip tonight against a Pittsburgh that is scoring well lately other than a game last night that they will be more than motivated to bounce back from as they suffered a six-goal loss and were skunked on their side of the scoreboard.

Luckily for them, in this spot on the season San Jose is 0-4 and being outscored 21-13 for an 8.5 GPG average which is great for us tonight looking at this total. I find it very hard to believe San Jose keeps Pittsburgh off the scoreboard like Los Angeles did last night, especially with the Penguins looking for some revenge for a 6-4 loss on home ice when these two squads met back in January.

San Jose ranks fourth worst in the NHL with a 3.69 GAA and is one of the best teams in the league for overs this season hitting at a 34-18 clip and 17-6 on home ice. Pittsburgh is better and more in the middle of the pack regarding GAA but still sits north of a three with a 3.08 GAA and has conceded twenty goals across their last five meetings with San Jose for a 4.00 GAA.

St. Louis vs Florida Prediction

The second total I am looking to dive into today is the clash between the Florida Panthers and St. Louis Blues. These teams are very similar on multiple levels this year; they both had spectacular seasons last year and are struggling quite a bit this season, both are desperate to get something going in regard to getting into the playoff conversation and both are conceding a lot of goals.

Florida is 32-21-2 for the over this season ( 34-21 buying the hook) while St. Louis counters with a record of 31-19-2 (33-19 buying the hook) and 9-1 across their last ten games. Both teams are well above a 3.0 GAA with St. Louis sitting sixth worst in the league at a 3.60 and Florida tenth worst with a 3.39. With that said, both teams are also north of a 3.00 GPG average offensively with a lot of firepower and are more than capable of scoring. I expect a lot of pace in this one tonight and a high-scoring affair.
