Calgary Flames vs. Philadelphia Flyers Prediction
It has been a rough year for the Flyers, who entered the season slated to be one of the worst teams in hockey. The Flyers have a rich history of making the playoffs and they are one of the winningest franchises in the history of the NHL. The past few seasons, however, have been hell for Philly fans. I am a Philly fan, and while I admit the Flyers are my fourth favorite team, it has been tough to watch them the last couple of seasons.
Philly is in a complete rebuild at the moment, and they are hopeful that some of these young players will pan out and that they will land some studs in the 2023 NHL draft. One bright spot for the Flyers this season has been goaltender Carter Hart who is having the best year of his young career.
Calgary, meanwhile, enters this game with a record of 26-19-11. They are just outside of the playoff picture and will need to close their season strong if they want to make the postseason. The Flames have been led by Elias Lindholm, who leads the team with forty-nine points.
We have to get some action on this game because we typically do not get the opportunity to bet on hockey at 4 pm. I will be fading my Flyers today and backing the Flames -1. Philly has really struggled as of late, winning just one game in the month of February, and I simply do not think that the Flyers have the firepower to keep pace with Calgary on the road today.
