The Indianapolis 500 starts at 12:30pm EST and will be the polar opposite of the early morning F1 snoozefest. Of course, we don't mind because winning wagers all cash the same way.
The 106th annual Indy 500 takes place on the 2.5-mile rectangular-looking track nicknamed the Brickyard. It's got one yard of bricks at the start-finish line for nostalgia's sake. The guys absolutely FLY around this place, averaging over 233 mph per circuit during qualifying. It is a spectacle to watch.

Tony Kanaan to finish better than Takumi Sato (-105) (Bet $105 to win $100)

Equipment matters in this sport, and Kanaan has a huge advantage. He is driving the best equipment in the business from the garage of Chip Ganassi Racing. Kanaan starts two rows ahead of Sato, in the faster car. We also think that the warmer track conditions will create a slicker surface giving a significant advantage to the more experienced Kanaan.

Castroneves is an ageless wonder. This guy is 47 years old, and he's defending his title from last year. In fact, he's a four-time Indy 500 winner. Unfortunately for us, he will be starting wayyy in the rear of the field. But with age comes experience. And guile. Castroneves is excellent at navigating traffic and that is why we're hitching our wagon to such a longshot prop.
