The SRX Season will come to an end on Saturday night. The race field is absolutely loaded this weekend, and there is a championship to be decided. Not to mention, this thing is on dirt for added chaos. We're running hotter than Satan's house cat, so let's get to it!
SRX Hartford Predictions and Odds
Sharon Speedway is located in Hartford, Ohio. This 3/8 dirt oval is one of the most storied dirt tracks in the country, regularly hosting the World of Outlaws late model series. Sharon is owned by Dave Blaney, retired Nascar journeyman and proud dad to current Cup Series superstar Ryan Blaney. The elder Blaney is most known for his dirt track prowess...and spoiler alert, both Blaneys are in the field. Not to mention, Dave's father, Lou, was a whiz in dirt modified, winning over 600 races and being inducted into the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame.

The championship battle is tight up top, with four racers looking to hold the hardware Saturday night. Marco Andretti holds a slim 8-point lead over Ryan Newman. Last week's winner, Tony Stewart (-13) and Bobby Labonte (-15), round out the hopefuls.
Chase Elliott (+300) is the co-favorite for this race. He's the Cup Series' hottest driver and has run several dirt events in the past few years. Elliott has finished in the top 2 in all of the last four Cup races. But he's not the guy we're backing this weekend...at least not in this race.
Last Saturday, we saw Tony Stewart (+300) absolutely dominate the field in the season's first dirt track event. Even with the field closely bunched behind him due to several late race restarts, Stewart's win was never in doubt. He was untouchable and was certainly the class of the field. While watching last week, we decided there would be no price that was too short to back the man nicknamed "Smoke." He will need to be nearly perfect yet again to close the points gap to Marco Andretti.
This SRX series has been an awesome product yet again this season. We are thankful that this year we've been able to get some action down, as bookmakers finally opened up the betting markets. This is a great sign moving forward that wagering on racing is here to stay...which is fantastic news for our job security.
