F1 Bahrain GP Predictions: Is Max Verstappen a Better Bet Than Lewis Hamilton?
Let's get the boring stuff out of the way. Bahrain is a 5.4-kilometer circuit, and we'll see 57 laps of action, totaling just over 300km. The racing is generally pretty good, and there are a few overtaking zones. Now let's get to the F1 Bahrain GP Predictions.

F1 Bahrain GP Predictions
1.0u - Max Verstappen - Winner (+185) (Bet $100 to Win $185)
*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
Max Verstappen was laying down some burner laps in the final test session at Bahrain earlier this week. We take that with a grain of salt, but the numbers are the numbers. Verstappen will be eager to prove that he is again the man to beat this year, and will be motivated to get out of the gates quickly. He has stated that he thinks Mercedes is downplaying their woes, so we don't think he will be surprised to be pushed by the "Silver Arrows" of Hamilton and George Russell. Expect a focused Verstappen to cross the finish line first in the desert.
1.35u - Lewis Hamilton - Podium Finish (-135) (Bet $135 to Win $100)
*Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing*
This wager really stood out. Hamilton has won the last three races at Bahrain, and five times total. You would have to go all the way back to the 2013 race to find a podium photograph that did not have Hamilton's smiling mug. We have already stated that we don't think Mercedes will win the Constructor's Championship, but that does not mean they are no longer competitive. This seems like a steal, and we are happy to have a Lewis Hamilton ticket in our pocket at this price.

1.4u Carlos Sainz - Top 10 Finish (-280) to win 0.5u (Bet $280 to Win $100)
*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*
If you've gotten this far, you are about to be rewarded, loyal reader. DraftKings has made a terrible blunder. Like...a real one. Carlos Sainz drives for Ferrari, which is arguably the third-best team in Formula 1. Sainz finished fifth, sixth, and sixth in the previous three years' season standings. The guy is as solid as they come.
Now that we know who we're backing, we know Sainz is a pretty good bet to finish in the Top-6. DraftKings has it priced at -280, which is just a smidge more expensive than the market-best price of -250 hanging at Fanduel. But DraftKings' price for a Top 10 finish is...the same -280. Whoops. The average price for Sainz to finish in the top 10 marketwide is -400. This thing is juicy, but it is +EV by a mile. Sainz finished outside of the top 10 just twice in 22 races last season. We won't get rich with these types of wagers, but it's a nice weapon to have in your toolbelt.
