F1 Miami Grand Prix Best Bets: Will Charles Leclerc Beat the Field at Miami's First F1 Race?
Making its inaugural debut in Miami, FL, the F1 circuit is back stateside this week as fans flock to South Beach for what has already been an incredible weekend. With a brand new track built around Hard Rock Stadium, 80,000+ fans will be on hand for what should be an electric race on Sunday afternoon.
As of Saturday, are just a few minutes away from qualifying, as Free Practice 3 wrapped up this morning and the big race is inside 24 hours away. The increased fanfare around this week’s events has brought increased ways in which bettors can get down on the action, and more value for those willing to dig deep enough.
Let’s take a closer look at a couple of bets I'm keyed in on ahead of Sunday’s race.

Charles Leclerc +140 (Bet $100 to win $140)

Through the three free practices this week, Leclerc finished top two in all three including first place in practice No. 1 to start the week. With 70 laps under his belt, the lead Ferrari man enters qualifying confidence and is in a great position to get the top pole position ahead of Sunday’s race.
It’s also worth noting that Leclerc turned in the second-fastest lap in the practice rounds thus far, trailing only Mercedes’ George Russell. If recent race history is any indication, team Ferrari and Leclerc, both of whom lead the driver and constructor standings, respectively, should have no issue closing that gap.
Based on Leclerc and teammate Carlos Sainz's performances thus far, according to formula.com race simulations, they are the quickest combined team on this track. Even better for Ferrari backers, it is being reported they were running their engines on lower power mode, meaning faster laps could still be to come.

Red Bull Racing -140 (Bet $140 to win $100)
*Odds via DraftKings at time of publishing*
While it has been Leclerc once again carrying team Ferrari throughout the week, Red Bull has two drivers continuing to make waves. So far through three practices, both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have been finding success, with each finishing third in the first and second practice before finishing first (Verstappen) and third (Perez) in the third and final.
The only concern out of team Red Bull, is once again, the mechanical issues that have nearly plagued their season thus far. While the troubles looked to be plaguing them again here in Miami to start the week, as Verstappen got in just a few laps in Free Practice 1, Free Practice 3 was nearly flawless for botched rivers as Perez turned in the fastest lap of the session.
Practice 3 also allowed for Verstappen to get his reps in, getting 20 laps around the track ahead of Saturday evening’s qualifying event. With two drivers very capable of winning this race outright, I like for the proven Red Bull team to make the necessary overnight adjustments to win the constructors battle on Sunday.
