It may come as no surprise that Max Verstappen, a recent two-time world champion, has been tabbed as the favorite to win the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2023. The bookmakers certainly expect the Dutch driver to continue his incredible form from the tail part of last season, despite the fact that a technical issue with his Red Bull vehicle prevented him from finishing the race last year.

Oddsmakers are also high on him for the season, making him a -175 favorite to run away with the F1 Drivers Championship again in 2023. His Red Bull team, as expected as well, is projected to run away with the F1 Constructors Championship, currently listed as a -170 favorite, before the season even gets underway.

The opening race of the season used to be a little bit of a lottery when turning everything up to 10 for the first round, even after comprehensive testing, would invariably reveal previously unanticipated reliability problems.
