Belmont Park concludes its first weekend of the fall meet with a nine-race card, highlighted by six-furlong $100,000 Allied Forces Stakes for 3-year-olds on the turf.

The Allied Forces hosts a field of 10 and is scheduled as Race 8 with a post time of 4:45 p.m. ET.

#3, No Bang No Boom (IRE), 5-1, Dylan Davis

The Wesley Ward-trained No Bang No Boom drew post 3 with Dylan Davis aboard and after going back and forth from dirt to turf, he broke through in his third start of the year taking an optional claiming event on the turf on June 9 right here at Belmont.

I think he finally has found his spot and I think Ward knows it too. I think he is sitting on a big run and it will show today. The pick.

#7, Neverland Rock (GB), 7-2, John Velazquez

After five starts, including a third-place finish in the G3 Quick Call in July and a second in the Mahony at Saratoga in early August, the Steve Asmussen-trained Neverland Rock hopes to make the sixth one a winning one as he looks for his first win on the year.

He has raced three times at Belmont with two runner-up finishes and John Velazquez is aboard for the first time and looks to lift this horse to another level. I just don’t think it’s today. Runner-up.

#6, Elektronic, 8-1, Jose Lezcano

Trainer Linda Rice enters Elektronic here, along with Readyforprimetime, and looks to improve off a fourth-place finish in the Mahony. He also ran second in the G3 Quick Call after breaking his maiden in only his second career start back in May at Belmont. This will be Elektronic’s seventh career start, where he has posted a 2-1-0 record in his previous six.

Lezcano gets the call and will be a threat late, but it won’t be enough. Comes up a tad shy.

#2, Uncle Benny, 4-1, Manuel Franco

Uncle Benny, trained by Jason Servis, captured the Futurity last October sprinting on this exact Belmont turf ahead of a strong second-place finish in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf.

In his first start of the year in the Mahony (see other entrants above), he stumbled right at the start and never could muster up a comeback in the race.
I look for a much better and smooth start from the outset as Franco will put him in a position to have a chance. A factor.

Other horses in the field: 1-Pulsate, 8-1; 4-Mucho, 9-2; 5-Releasethethunder, 3-1; 8-Readyfor primetime, 8-1; 9-Achilles Warrior, 8-1; 10-Chilly in Charge, 12-1.

Picks: 3-7-6-2
