The thoroughbred racing world said goodbye to a great Keeneland fall meet Saturday and as it enters Breeders’ Cup week, says hello once again to Louisville as Churchill Downs opens its 26-day fall meet today with an all 2-year-old Stars of Tomorrow 11-race card.

The $120,000 Rags to Riches Stakes for 2-year-old fillies over one mile on the dirt will have a field of seven and will to gate for race 9 with an approximate post time of 5:06 p.m. ET.

#7, Lucky Jingle, Julien Leparoux, 3-1

An impressive inaugural campaign for Lucky Jingle as she is 2-0-1 in four starts this year, including two wins in her last three races, highlighted by a 3 ¼ length win in an allowance optional claiming race at Keeneland Oct. 4. Julien Leparoux gets the call from trainer Graham Motion for the first time after coming off a Keeneland fall meet title, where he won 19 races (95-19-11-13), five better than fellow colleague Tyler Gaffalione. The pick.

#4, Specially, Miguel Mena, 8-5

One race. One win for Mark Casse-trained Specially, who is coming off a 5 ¼-length victory in a maiden special weight race at Keeneland on Oct 5. Florent Geroux was on board for the impressive debut where she travelled three wide in the turn and finished well to win clear. Miguel Mena gets the nod today. Runner-up.

#5, Finite, Ricardo Santana, Jr., 3-1

After two straight runner-up finishes in maiden special weight races at Saratoga, Finite came back emphatically with an impressive 4 ¼ length triumph in a maiden special weight at Kentucky Downs. She is 1-2 in three career starts this year and has Ricardo Santana, Jr. aboard for trainer Steven Asmussen. Contender.

#2, Curlinesque, Tyler Gaffalione, 8-1

I find it pretty strange Curlinesque is listed at 8-1 on the morning line. She has raced once with a ¾ of a length win over Purrfectly Claire (ridden by Leparoux) here back on Sept. 26. One month and a day, she returns looking for her second straight. Guess whose aboard? Gaffalione for his second straight mount and looking for a bit of pay back to Leparoux (see above), for winning the concluded Keeneland title. In the mix.
