We have you covered with picks from every race on Saturday at the Breeders Cup

The sixth Breeders’ Cup race of the day is the $2 million Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Mile for 3-year-olds and up on the turf. A full field of 14 is slated as race 9 with an approximate post time of 6:20 p.m. ET.

#6, Got Stormy, Tyler Gaffalione, 7-2

Got Stormy has hit the board in six straight (3-2-1) and is coming off a runner-up finish by a half-length to longshot El Tormenta ($91.40) (also running today) in the G1 Woodbine Mile on Sept. 14. Prior to that, she won two straight including a solid 2 ½ length triumph in a course-record performance (1:32) over Raging Bull (FR) and Uni (GB) in the G1 Fourstardave Handicap at Saratoga on Aug. 10. She has looked great all week and has a huge upside with Tyler Gaffalione getting back on board for his second straight start for trainer Mark Casse. The pick.

#9, Circus Maximus (IRE), Ryan Moore, 3-1

Making his first trip to the states, the morning-line favorite Circus Maximus (IRE) comes into this race off a hard-fought win down the stretch in the G1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp at Longchamp back on Sept. 8. I think out of all the Aiden O’Brien horses this weekend, this is the one that has the best chance to win, but O’Brien is an inexplicable 0-for-23 lifetime in this race with four runner-up finishes. Can he turn the tide today with his regular rider Ryan Moore? We shall see. Runner-up.

#11, Uni (GB), Joel Rosario, 7-2

Uni (GB) should be fresh as the crisp, cool Arcadia air, having only run three times this year, winning twice including her last by 2 ½ lengths over Juliet Foxtrot (GB) and Vasilika in the G1 First Lady Stakes at Keeneland on Oct. 5. Last year, she never lost; having won four straight including her only trip out west in the G1 Matriarch Stakes by a half-length over Daddy is a Legend at Del Mar on Dec. 2. This is her ninth graded stakes appearance, including her third straight G1. Lots to like here. Contender.

#2, Lucullan, Luis Saez, 12-1

Lucullan has won three of four starts this year and since a fourth-place finish in the G1 Woodbine Mile on Sept. 14, he responded nicely exactly a month later with a one-length win over Olympico (FR) in the G2 Knickerbocker Stakes at Belmont Park on Oct. 14. Luis Saez is back on board a sleeper that could surprise the whole bunch. In the mix.
