The start of a new racing week begins at Parx Racing in Bensalem, Pennsylvania today with a $50,000 allowance optional claiming race (purse: $46,000) for 3-year-old fillies over six furlongs on the dirt. The field of 8 will go to gate for race 9 on the 10-race card with an approximate post time of 4:01 p.m. ET.

#3, Sunday Inn, Anthony Nunez, 3-1

She has finished in the money in both career starts (1-1-0). In her last, she won a maiden special weight race by 1 ¼ lengths as the favorite at Penn National on Sept. 19. Anthony Nunez was aboard then and returns today for his second straight start for trainer John Tyler Servis. The pick.

#8, Lady Lucy Lu, Frankie Pennington, 5-2

The morning-line favorite has had two career starts (1-0-0) both at Parx. She won her debut in a maiden special weight race by a solid 4 ¼ lengths as the fifth betting choice. In her last, she finished a disappointing seventh in an allowance optional claiming race here on Oct. 20. Which is she, the first start or the last start? We shall see. Frankie Pennington is aboard for trainer John C. Servis. Runner-up.

#5, It’s So Easy, Kyle Frey, 9-2

Just 15 days ago, she won her debut in a maiden special weight race here on Dec. 30 by an impressive five lengths as the seventh betting choice ($26.00). Kyle Frey was aboard for the win and returns for his second straight start today for trainer Daniel Velazquez. Hard not to like the debut, but will she bounce? Contender.

#4, Triple Jump, Johan Rosado, 4-1

She is 1-0-1 in three career starts, two at Parx. She won her debut in a waiver maiden claiming race here on Oct. 15 and followed up with a sixth-place finish here on Nov. 24. In her last start, she placed third in an allowance race at Penn National on Dec. 20. Johan Rosado is in the saddle for trainer Edward Coletti, Jr. A race back at Parx might do her wonders. In the mix.
