Race 3 – Pick #3 Little No Way (6-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
There is plenty of speed in this race, led by morning line favorite Impression. He should be hard used throughout so a horse coming off the pace should be the play here. Last time out Little No Way dropped in class while returning to route. He was closer to the pace than usual and ended up third. Abel Cedillo, who was aboard him for the first time, should have learned something off that effort and keep him farther off the early pace. While he is winless on dirt, he has the ability to finish well and get up in time for the victory.
Race 5 – Pick #9 Smooth Rithms (6-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
When making her first start for a tag while cutting back to sprint for dirt debut, Smooth Rithms stumbled at the start and then rushed up to press the pace before tiring. She comes back at the same level and stretches out slightly. She has not shown her true ability on dirt yet, but she did show an excellent bullet work out of the gate on dirt before her career debut in July. If she can replicate that and break sharply, she could wire the field for the victory.
Race 7 - #8 Wishful (3-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
Gets a positive jockey switch when switching back to Prat and cuts back in distance after finishing third in return to Del Mar. She drops to claiming ranks and makes first start of career versus conditioned claimers on dirt. Prat was aboard when she stalked the pace and won starter at Santa Anita while going longer in April 2019. She should win using similar tactics here.
