Tuesday Racing Picks: Presque Isle

Race 4 – Pick #8 Ballybrack Lass (10-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
There looks to be plenty of speed here so it is preferable to find a horse that can come off the pace successfully. Ballybrack Lass drops to lowest claiming level of career for local return and first start for new trainer Susan Anderson. He raced twice locally in 2018, in his second and third career starts. He broke his maiden and then finished third in allowance company, so obviously he likes the local all weather surface. Getting the class relief while shipping in from Belterra and switching from turf to the Tapeta while be enough to get her to the winners circle.
Race 5 – Pick #6 Passion’s Image (6-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
In her last start, Passion’s Image stalked the pace and won in her first official start for trainer Tim Girten. Owner Bob Bone and Girten are now taking advantage of the conditions of this race, running in what is basically a starter $5,000 in last five starts. But Passion’s Image doesn’t qualify under those conditions so she runs for the $8,500 claiming tag instead. She is one of three horses that is eligible for the race by racing for the tag. She switches back to leading rider Pablo Morales, who was aboard her when she won by a nose going shorter two back.
Race 6 – Pick #5 Bugle Barry (5-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG
In his local return, Bugle Barry made a middle move to gain the lead but couldn’t hold off Colonel Talbot, eventually finishing second as the favorite. He now drops slightly class while returning at the same distance. There isn’t much quality speed in the race so it would not be surprising to see Bugle Barry closer to the pace than usual or possibly set the pace. He also gets a positive jockey switch to Walber Alencar.
