Wednesday Racing Picks: Presque Isle

We're halfway through the week and John DaSilva is back and has given us his plays for Presque Isle.

Race 3 – Pick #7 Bless the Rains (12-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

When a horse shows bad form, it is easy to just give up on them. But sometimes a simple change is all that is needed to show improvement. Bless the Rains had been in poor form in recent starts at Mountaineer. But a trainer switch to Lance Stokes and switching surfaces to the Tapeta awoke the mare. She showed improvement to finish fourth in her local debut. She drops in class off that effort and comes in with a good work. Despite being 0 for 15 lifetime, this is only her second career start over an All Weather surface. She is worth playing at the price.

Race 7 – Pick #6 Forgotten Peace (9/2 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

Since returning to the Tim Girten barn this summer, Forgotten Peace has been in great form. Showing improved early speed to set the pace and winning three out of her last four starts. She is two for three since stretching out to a route. She looks to be the main speed here and should wire the field under Nathan Vickers.

Race 8 – Pick #10 D J Soul Sista (5-1 ML) - Click here to bet with TVG

Veteran loves the local course as he is 9 for 26 lifetime over it. While making his local return last out, he ran evenly to finish fourth. He stretches out off that effort while making second start since returning to the Jed Steffee barn. She should get a good pace to close into versus these.
