The October 10 card at Belmont Park in New York features five graded stakes races that are prep races for the 2020 Breeders’ Cup at Keeneland on November 6 and 7. It is an 11-race program with an abundance of wagering opportunities.

Race 4 - $250,000 Champagne Stakes (G1) - Click here to bet with TVG

#4 Jackie’s Warrior (3-5) has so far looked to be one of the most impressive juveniles in the country, winning three straight including the Grade 1 Hopeful. Steve Asmussen trains the quick colt, whose most recent speed figure towers over this field. Stablemate #6 Midnight Bourbon has the advantage of having a win over a mile, and a graded stakes second over a mile, which is the distance of this trip and further than any other horse in here has run save for 15-1 shot Ambivalent.

Race 5 - $250,000 Frizette Stakes (G1) - Click here to bet with TVG

This one-mile race for two year old fillies is a fantastic matchup between some big last out winners, including #1 Vequist (2-1) who won the Grade 1 Spinaway by over nine lengths. #5 Dayoutoftheoffice (3-1) might be the play based solely on a better price, as a six-length winner in Grade 3 company at Saratoga who is by the hottest sire in town, Into Mischief.

Race 8 - $250,000 Flower Bowl Stakes (G1) - Click here to bet with TVG

Trainer Chad Brown has three in here, including #2 My Sister Nat (3-1) who is a sibling to 2020 Arc winner Sottsass and champion Sistercharlie. She has hit the board in all three starts on this track, and was a Grade 3 winner at Saratoga in August. Stablemate #1 Cambier Parc had 11 months off before running second in a big race at Woodbine as the favorite, and clearly needed that start. Longshot Play: #4 La Signare (8-1) is a winner over this course, gets to stretch out after running over less ground of late, and was arguably facing tougher company.

Race 9 - $250,000 Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1) - Click here to bet with TVG

A short field for one of the most historic races in the nation, as only five entered. Most money will go to #4 Tacitus (even), who has earned $2.9 million without ever winning a Grade 1 race. But he loses more than he wins, and the play is the pair of three-year-olds facing him, #5 Mystic Guide (4-1) who is coming off a win in the Jim Dandy, and unbeaten #1 Happy Saver (2-1).

Race 10 - $150,000 Sans Point Stakes (G2) - Click here to bet with TVG

#2 Speaktomeofsummer (3-1) is in against a tough field including US debut runner #1 Tamahere (5-2) from France and #3 Selflessly (2-1) who is coming off a Grade 3 score at Saratoga. Speaktomeofsummer was a big winner at Saratoga two back, and the horse who beat her last out is in a Grade 1 at Keeneland on the same day.
