Soccer expert and handicapper Alex Campean is here with another parlay for this weekend's European soccer action. This time he has a parlay across French Ligue 1 and Spanish La Liga to tail.

La Liga and Ligue 1 Weekend Parlay: Trusting Nice to Dominate

La Liga and Ligue 1 Weekend Parlay at +290

La Liga surprising leaders Real Sociedad are fighting to maintain their position at the top of the Spanish top-flight league table while Ligue 1 third-placed Nice travel to play struggling Clermont on Sunday.

Real Sociedad vs. Valencia (La Liga Round 14) - Sunday, November 21, 3:00 p.m. ET

Real Sociedad vs. Valencia Odds

Real Sociedad will be looking to ensure that they enter the holidays season top of La Liga as they host Valencia on Sunday. They are currently one point clear of second-placed Real Madrid and third-placed Sevilla, but both teams have a game in hand on the leaders.

The Basque outfit has been the revelation team in the La Liga, losing just one in 13 games, winning eight, and scoring 19 goals in the process. They are unbeaten on home soil, winning four in six games in front of their fans. They transformed their stadium Reale Arena in San Sebastian, into a real fortress conceding just one goal in six games.

What’s more impressive is the fact that they also have European commitments playing in the Europa League, and they are still sitting top of the table no matter how tired they are playing every three days or how many injuries they had cope with. So right now, after the international break, the team is ready to extend their great run of form secure top spot.

Their attacking talisman Mikel Oyarzabal who got injured one month ago suffering a muscle problem during training after a long summer with Euro 2020 and Olympic Games (he played in both), is expected to be fully fit and play against Valencia. Oyarzabal has scored six goals in seven games, already missing the last seven fixtures (five in La Liga and two in Europa League).

Theoretically, Real Sociedad should perform better as they welcome many of their key players back from injuries. Surprisingly, the hosts have lost just one domestic game this season in their opening match on the road against Barcelona.

On the other side, Valencia has had huge ups and downs this term, and they will probably continue this trend. They have a 4-5-5 line (wins, draws, defeats) they have goals in them, but they also concede (21 scored and 20 conceded in 13 games). They are not reliable as a team but, despite Sociedad’s fantastic home record, we expect Valencia to contribute on the scoreboard. They scored in every single game but one (goalless draw against Cadiz).

1st Parlay Pick: Both Teams to Score (-105)

Clermont vs. Nice (Ligue 1 Round 14) - Sunday, November 21, 11:00 a.m. ET

Clermont vs. Nice Odds

The newly-promoted team, Clermont, enter this game on the back of three defeats in a row. They have one of the worst defensive records in the French top-flight league, with 26 goals conceded in 13 games, averaging two goals conceded per game. They have earned 13 points so far, winning three in 13 games. They pulled off some upsets this season, but nothing crazy. They lost five of their previous domestic games, and we expect them to struggle this season.

On the other side, Nice is one of the most consistent teams of the season. With a new coach, reigning Ligue 1 champion Christophe Galtier (he won last year with Lille) has an ambitious long-term project. He wants to transform Nice into a Ligue 1 powerhouse, fight for the top spots and play in the European competitions. So far, so good for visitors as they are sitting 3rd in the standings with seven wins in 13 games, having the best defense in the league with just 10 goals conceded this term.

One of their most important players, Justin Kluivert, is back to full training following a long-term injury, and he will definitely play at least 30 minutes on Sunday against Clermont. Christophe Galtier is working great with the youngsters, and he turned Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang into one of Europe’s top goalscorers.

We expect a clear away win, and the price is amazing for this play. We also believe that Justin Kluivert will be back with a goal, so we will sprinkle a small stake on him to score at least once in the game at (+320) with Bet365.

2nd Parlay Pick: Nice ML (+100)

2-Leg Parlay Picks (+290)

  • Real Sociedad vs. Valencia - Both Teams to Score (-105)
  • Clermont vs. Nice - Nice ML (+100)
