Bayern struggling with Gladbach is one of soccers unsolved mysteries. The Bavarian giants lost just four games all season long across all competitions, and two of them came against Gladbach. That's crazy, given Bayern's world-class squad. If only Dortmund could do that, then the Bundesliga might have a plausible title race every so often.
Yes, they were without many of their key players, with Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, Alphonso Davies, Leon Goretzka, Lucas Hernandez, or Dayot Upamecano. Guess what? They will not be back on time for this match, being ruled out with injuries or COVID. Only Manuel Neuer is set to return between the Bayern Munich goalposts away to FC Koln.
Let's note that Bayern was very unlucky not to score more than once against Gladbach, missing some crazy sitters, particularly in the second half. Still, keeper Yan Sommer put on yet another masterclass against the reigning Bundesliga champions. Covid really hit Bayern's defensive lineup, but all players should be back on time for the Champions League knock-out stages.
Robert Lewandowski scored and hit the woodwork twice, and he's expected to dominate the opposition box while Thomas Muller, who got an assist and managed six key passes from open play against Gladbach, is ready to deliver once again. Marcel Sabitzer played Alphonso Davies role being Bayern'sworst player on the pitch.
On the other side, FC Koln kicked off the new year exactly how they ended 2021 with a win. They won their previous three Bundesliga fixtures scoring seven goals in the process, and they are now sitting sixth in the standings with 29 points picked up in 18 games, just two points behind the top four. Of course, we don't expect them to finish in the top four, but that doesn't mean they won't fight for it. They lost their previous six domestic mutual encounters against the Bavarian giants, but they scored at least once in every single game.
Given Bayern's squad issues, we expect them to struggle once again against an in-form Koln side. We don't need Koln to win this match or to win points. We just need them to find the back of the net. For our first pick of the parlay, we are taking an improved "Alex Classic."

What do we expect in Serie A? Goals, of course. If you're not betting on the Italian top-flight league, you are losing money. Probably not the most entertaining league in the world, but at least top three leagues to watch. They have everything, from goals, cards, drama, amazing comebacks, great fights at the top of the table, and the relegation zone.
And guess what? Sassuolo and Verona are two of the teams we love to bet on. Sassuolo might be hit and miss on many occasions, but in general, they are a team to watch, being one of the most entertaining ones. Of course, you must have a good heart to be a fan of Sassuolo but if you love adrenaline, go for it.
They have an attacking style, always on the front foot and a good thing about them is the fact that if they go 2 goals up, they will not sit back and defend the result. As a result, they scored 36 goals and conceded 33 in 21 Serie A fixtures.
On the other side, Verona kicked off the new year with a shocking 2-1 to bottom-placed Salernitana in a match they controlled from the first till the final whistle. They will be eager to bounce back Sassuolo are a tough nut to crack. They have many squad issues, but 90% of their missing players are not starters. The important ones will play, and we expect them to find the back of the net.
