Eintracht Frankfurt: Poor domestically, kings in Europe
Eintracht Frankfurt is not in great form… I hear this every single day. FALSE! Eintracht Frankfurt’s objective is not to be in great form in the domestic league. They’ve just finished 11th in the German top-flight league and did not win any of their final eight league fixture, a run stretching back to mid-March. They drew their final game 2-2 away to Mainz on Sunday but that’s not their real face.
They’ve been a different animal in Europe and their main objective is to go all the way and lift the trophy. It’s not only about winning a continental trophy but it’s also about earning their Champions League spot for the next season. Let’s not forget that they are unbeaten in Europa League this season and during the knock-out stages they knocked out teams like Real Betis, Barcelona, and West Ham.
They pulled off the upset beating Barcelona 3-2 on the road, and they defeated West Ham 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-final, underlining the threat they pose to Rangers. We can also add their supporters. Their all-white display at Camp Nou in Barcelona was superb and 10.000 of them will travel with the team to Spain.
Despite not being fully packed with superstars with many important players leaving last summer, the team forms a compact unit. Their main strength is their unity and team spirit. They are very organized and made it really difficult for the top teams in the competition to score against them. They are deadly on the break, quickly playing forward, at a high pace, and the players are ready to give everything on the pitch.
Unfortunately, they will be without one of their most important players for this final. Centre-back Martin Hinteregger was forced off with an injury in the first half of Frankfurt's Europa League semi-final 1-0 win over West Ham and has been ruled out for the final.
Rangers: Rock-solid on home soil, bad on the road
Rangers have taken some great teams out in the knockout stages. Rangers have already prevailed against German opposition, dispatching Dortmund and RB Leipzig on their way to the final so a neutral fan would say they are favorites to beat Eintracht as they are well equipped for German football.
Rangers have enjoyed a decent domestic season, despite the title being snatched away from them by Celtic. They finished second in the Scottish Premiership table, four points below Celtic. Being outsiders won't bother a Rangers side that has continued to defy the odds in this tournament, always being the underdogs in every single knock-out tie.
They have goals in them and believe it or not, their defender James Tavernier is the competition's top scorer with seven goals netted. He also scored in his last two domestic appearances for the club against Dundee United and Ross County but he was rested last weekend in the 3-1 win against Hearts. Basically, Giovanni van Bronckhorst rested six of his eleven starters last weekend trying to have them fully fit on Wednesday. To be able to win against those strong opponents is really good for Rangers showing their fighting spirit and winning mentality. They definitely have the necessary weapons to pull off the upset on Wednesday so the best thing is to avoid the winners market.

Europa League Final Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Rangers Prediction
The German side's only clean sheet in the last ten matches across all competitions was against a West Ham side that got red-carded after just 19 minutes in the game. That’s also their first European clean sheet since September 2021. Frankfurt hasn’t lost a single Europa League match all season and they have scored at least once in every one of those fixtures. With that said, we expect goals from both sides and at least three goals in the match. On top of that, we love the corners line set at 10.5. Both sides love to deliver crosses inside the box so we expect many corners.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Rangers Best Bets
- Pick 1: Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals at +115 (Bet $100 to win $115)
- Pick 2: Over 10.5 corners at +105 (Bet $100 to win $105)
