With the season just days away, we dive into some really nice odds for this tournament's winner. The strongest team out there right now and rightfully favored to win it all this season is Club America at +400. With a horrible start last season, things quickly turned around as they fired ex-Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari. Club America went on 11 games without a loss until falling against Pachuca in the semi-finals. Club America with some new signings; Jonathan Rodriguez, who knows this league up and down after being with Cruz Azul and Santos, is exactly what Club America needed. A reliable goalscorer who will be paired up with the speedy Jurgen Damm. Damm, who was once the 2nd fastest player in the world behind Bale, will come in and add his incredible pace to the pitch. Adding to the defense is Nestor Araujo who spent his last 4 years in top-flight with Celta de Vigo. National team player and Europe experience will be key to this team. With the already elite midfield that Club America has, this team from top to bottom is complete. So at +400, it is a great play and my most confident to win the league.
Pachuca last season came short against Atlas in the final. A very controversial final that was up in the air for Pachuca to win. With not a lot of changes from last year, fully expect Pachuca to stay in the top 4. A team that played beautifully will still be a contender this year with Nico Ibanez leading the way. At +600 there definitely is value for the potential that they have.
Onto the dark horse, Pumas, who are priced at +1600. While the departure of Alan Mozo does have a heavy impact on this team, the transfer did most certainly did not go to waste as Pumas went out for Estudiantes' Gustavo del Prete. Gustavo will line up next to Juan Dinenno and bring a ton of threat to the defenses. Rumors as of now that are starting to get stronger suggest Pumas will be going for another big signing, Boca Juniors' Eduardo Salvio. Two big signings for pumas with scorers bring a lot of expectations to this team and do think they can get into the top 4 and compete for the title. Last year I took a nice win on Atlas to win it all at +1600, so I think we can go for another big hit!
