Our football expert takes a look at the best bet in tonight's Champions League clash between Porto and Liverpool
ANALYSIS

Unstoppable Liverpool look to avoid an almighty slip-up.

With three other cracking Champions League ties to devour over Tuesday and Wednesday, Liverpool’s second-leg against Porto does feel like an afterthought.

The Reds’ 2-0 win at Anfield has pretty much secured their semi-final status for the second season in-a-row – barring a Porto miracle, of course.

Let’s dive straight into the betting market, where my best bet is a draw at half-time and a Liverpool win at full-time.

Liverpool are obviously an outstanding team, and I don’t doubt they’ll beat Porto within the 90 minutes, but they’ve gone into the break level in eight of their 17 Premier League away games. It would be harsh to call them slow starters, but they often leave it fairly late to claim their bounty.

Porto have won all four Champions League matches at Estádio do Dragão, and they’re a much stronger side to the one who Liverpool beat 5-0 in last season’s competition.

Considering Liverpool don’t need to deal Porto a killer blow early on, 4/1 does seem like good value for a draw at half-time and a Liverpool win at full-time.
