Yes, I'm aware that Bayern scored 8 in their quarterfinal against Barca but this pick is just better value. Everybody expects goals from this game, and when everybody zigs, sometimes it's wise to zag. At nearly 4/1 this is a huge price. Bayern have all the tools to win this, but don't forget it's still a semi in a European competition. Nerves could set in, Bayern could play safer to avoid Lyon's dangers, much like Pep Guardiola did, and they may not be as freescoring at we think.

At this price I think it's worth a small bet, because there isn't a huge amount of value on this game.

If you remember our preview of Man City vs. Lyon you'll know I picked this then, and it didn't happen. My reasoning was at such a large price, it was just good value to back a Lyon first goal scorer, despite being unlikely. It turns out I had the right idea, but wrong player.

The same applies today, Depay is not 15/1 from 14/1 in that past game and it's simply too big. He has scored 15 in 21 games this year, plays up front, and takes penalties. With VAR there is always the increased chance of penalties and at this price I have to have a bite. Bayern haven't been imperious in defense, and still displayed some horrific defending in that Barca game.
